All in solidarity with Olhanense!

PSD Olhão has been monitoring the unfair situation in which Sporting Clube Olhanense finds itself, seriously hampered by the Portuguese Football Federation which, in the impossibility of carrying out the play-off phase, provided for in the regulations of the Championship of Portugal, with the criterion of “sporting merit”, decided that the two teams with the most points in the competition will ascend to the 2nd League, discriminating, in a clear violation of the right to equality, the first classified in Serie B and the SCO who led Serie D.

To date, PSD Olhão has avoided making public statements that could jeopardize the dialogue with the top football officials in our country, but at this stage when we believe that only political decision makers can help in solving this problem, PSD Olhão expresses, vehemently, its solidarity with the main club of our land, Sporting Clube Olhanense Futebol.

PSD Olhão is also in solidarity with the support decisions demonstrated by the Municipality of Olhão in the defense of the rights of S.C. Olhanense, which is a cause for uniting the Olhanenses.

We also extend our sincere congratulations to the Lusitano Ginásio Clube Moncarapachense – for having achieved his goal of ascending to the Portuguese Championship – which, with his most recent sporting successes, has also honored the name of Olhão.
