PSD approves online transmission of Assemblies in Moncarapacho-Fuseta and sets an example in Olhão

The Olhão PSD (Social Democratic Party) is pleased that the Parish Assembly of the União de Freguesias de Moncarapacho e Fuseta has unanimously approved, in a session held on June 30, in Fuseta, a proposal presented by the Assembly’s Board (chaired by the PSD), for a change to its regulations – to be presented in the next Parish Assembly – in order to allow the online video transmission of the sessions.

The approval had the votes of all PSD and PSD members, and the vote of the socialists was welcome, contrary to what has been seen in identical proposals submitted by the PSD, so that the Town Council meetings and sessions of the Olhão Municipal Assembly and of the Parish Assemblies of Olhão, Quelfes and Pechão, are also broadcast online.

It remains to be seen whether this was because the PS is in a minority in the Parish Council, or whether the democratic sense of its members in the Parish Council of Moncarapacho and Fuseta is greater than that of the members of the rest of the council.

We hope that this democratic attitude will make PS Olhão reconsider this matter.
